We are Proton

My great-grandfather started a dental supply company in 1930, and my family’s been in distribution ever since. Some of my earliest memories are of tagging along on business trips with my dad, just like he used to do with his.

Every generation got better tools. Software made it easier to run the business, from tracking inventory to taking orders. But getting information from one system to another became somebody’s job.

As I got older, I saw what that asked of people. Someone rekeyed every emailed order into the ERP. Reps spent evenings typing up the day’s visit notes. The tools had improved, but people were still the glue.

I wanted to give those people, my family included, more time with customers. In 2018, while studying data science at Harvard, I began building software with engineers and veteran distributors to take on that work.

That became Proton.

Today, Proton connects the systems you already use and puts AI agents to work across your business. The work of keeping those systems connected belongs in the software. Your people bring the judgment and relationships that make the business yours.

We build Proton alongside our customers, and their feedback shapes what comes next. Distributors from family-owned businesses to publicly traded companies use Proton every day. For me, it’s still personal: I’m building it for people like my dad.
